Chilly This Weekend
Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Colder air is pushing into the Midlands on northeasterly winds. It is being driven by a high pressure system over the northeastern part of the country. Today's high temperatures will be in the low to mid 50s today in spite of the abundant sunshine. Mostly clear skies will lead to the threat of frost Sunday morning with a freeze farther north. Clouds will be increasing across the Midlands on Sunday with a slight chance of showers Sunday night. The better chance for rain will be across the northern Midlands.
It may start out cloudy Monday morning, but the skies will begin to clear in the afternoon. High pressure will dominate the scene for much of the week. There will be plenty of sunshine with mild daytime temperatures and chilly nights. Readings may warm to near 70 by the end of the workweek with only a slight chance for rain. Next weekend should be nice across the Midlands.
