COLUMBIA, S.C. — Concerned about the way trees in your area have been trimmed around utility lines? Ever wonder what guidelines the tree trimmers use when doing their work? Here's your chance to find out and to add your input to the conversation.

Representatives from the City of Columbia and Dominion Energy will host a public forum to discuss upcoming tree trimming near utility lines scheduled for 2023. Your questions about proper pruning techniques, purpose and guidelines for utility pruning, ANSI standards, grand trees, and Columbia's aging tree canopy.

The meeting is scheduled for 6-7 p.m. February 9 at Eau Claire Print Facility, 3907 Ensor Ave.
