Officers are searching for a person who they say stole money from two businesses located in a shopping center at 4760 Hardscrabble Road.

Deputies from the Richland County Sheriff's Department say the suspect shot out the front glass door to Tokyo Grill with a hand gun and took an unknown amount of cash. This incident happened at about 1:45 a.m. on Monday, July 10.

Days later they say the same suspect entered a Food Lion through a window and stole a cash register drawer which contained no money. This burglary took place on Friday, July 21 at around 1:45 a.m.

The suspect was caught on surveillance video. Anyone with information on this is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
