Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Richland County deputies are searching for a suspect who they say stole something from a Walmart store, then hit an employee with the item while getting away.

The incident happened on October 20 at the Walmart located at 10050 Two Notch Road. According to investigators, the man store a camera system that costs about $300.

Surveillance video shows the man walk by a register, and a cashier attempt to follow and stop him as he starts to leave. Another employee tries to block him at the exit, but deputies say he shoved her with the box that the stolen equipment was in, then ran past her and toward his car.

His vehicle is described as a four-door 2015 Kia Forte with SC Tag MED 391.
