Columbia, SC (WLTX) - A Columbia man is facing charges after one of his daughters was shot and killed and another was injured when he tried to unload his gun.

Dominique MIller, 30, is charged with involuntary manslaughter and abuse.

Back on September 1, officers were called to a home on Meredith Square after getting a report that multiple people were hurt. Deputies determined that Miller attempted to unload his gun, and while doing so, shot his two-year-old daughter Heaven Miller and his four-year-old girl.

Heaven was taken to the hospital where she later died, while the other girl survived. The father also suffered injuries in the shooting.

In charging Miller, deputies say he engaged in negligent behavior and reckless disregard for the safety of his daughters.
