Kershaw County, SC (WLTX) - Kershaw County deputies say a man was shot after an exchange of gunfire at at local club.

The incident happened on Saturday morning at Club Sauce on Highway 1.

According to deputies, body camera footage from security guards shows that at least 30 rounds were fired by several individuals, including the guards themselves. Deputies say they collected 18 shell casings from .40 caliber, 9 mm, and .22 caliber weapons.

During the shooting, one person was confirmed to have been hit seven times by gunfire, and was taken to the hospital by car.

Officers say the victim was interviewed by investigators but hasn't been willing to cooperate.

Deputies say a previous shooting happened at Club Sauce a week before, but again, no one was unwilling to cooperate. In that case, no one was shot.

“We are looking very hard at Club Sauce on a number of issues that we have identified as being problematic,” said Sheriff Jim Matthews in a statement. “Our deputies have responded to numerous calls at that club and it is in jeopardy of being closed down. We will not tolerate these shootings, a problem compounded by the lack of cooperation by Club Sauce patrons.”
