Columbia, SC (WLTX) - A 74-year-old Newberry man is being accused of illegal sexual behavior with three different children.
Fransisco D. Navarrete committed "lewd and lascivious acts upon the body and intimate parts" of three girls between the ages of 7 and 11 when he was 73 years old, according to a SLED report,
Navarrete, a tamale salesman, came into contact with the victims during deliveries to the families' homes. Two of the victims, ages 9 and 11, told investigators Navarrete touched their breasts and buttocks inside their homes, while the third victim, age 7, said he touched her breasts during a birthday party.
The suspect reportedly said he didn't "intend to touch them in an intimate manner," according to the report.
He is charged with three counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor in the third degree, and booked at the Newberry County Detention Center.
