Columbia, SC (WLTX) - More moisture will move into the area Monday, a few isolated showers will be possible.

Sunday started off cool. A few areas dropped into the upper 40s, but most places reported lows in the middle to upper 50s. Newberry had a low of 48° and Cedar Creek fell to 49 degrees.

Sunday afternoon was sunny and very pleasant. High temperatures were in the middle 70s.

Monday will start off cool again. Low temperatures will be in the middle 50s for the start of the new workweek.

Some moisture will be moving from the east off the Atlantic Monday. Skies will be partly cloudy and temperatures will still be pleasant, but a few isolated showers cannot be ruled out.

Forecast models have indicated some rain will be possible mainly east and south of the Columbia area during the afternoon. Temperatures could be a little cooler in the eastern and southern Midlands if the clouds are thicker.

Temperatures will begin to warm by Tuesday. Highs will be in the lower 80s for the second day of the workweek, gradually warming into the upper 80s by Friday.

After the small chance of rain Monday, dry weather is expected through Saturday. Showers and storms are possible Sunday as a system moves in from the south
