A serious accident in the 3600 block of Broad River Road closed eastbound lanes late Wednesday evening, according to the Columbia Police Department.

While details are limited, the Columbia Police Department (CPD) confirms the accident involved a motorcycle and a car. Police say two motorcycle passengers have serious injuries and the driver of the car is also injured.

Eastbound lanes of Broad River Road were closed for about an hour and a half late Wednesday evening. CPD Traffic Safety Unit officers investigated were on scene investigating, according to CPD.

All lanes of Broad River Road were reopened around 12:30 a.m. Thursday morning, according to a tweet from CPD.
