Columbia, SC (WLTX) - One Columbia woman's morning commute was a little out of the ordinary — it included a pit stop to pick up $1 million.
Her non-winning ticket was picked from more than 545,000 entries in the Platinum Millionaire Second-Chance Promotion. She had entered it online through the Lottery’s Players’ Club.
Turns out she missed the winning called from the Lottery, but "lost it" after giving them a call back.
The dedicated employee was a bit tired picking up her prize at the South Carolina Education Lottery Claims Center Thursday morning, but she was still heading to work.
“I’m a simple person," she said. "This just means a more comfortable life.”
