Deputies are investigating a shooting in northeast Columbia early Sunday morning that left one person injured, according to the Richland County Sheriff's Department.
Deputies say they were dispatched to a business at 2016 Clemson Road just before 2 a.m. Sunday morning. According to deputies, an argument outside the business had been disrupted when an unknown car pulled up and fired shots.
A short time later, deputies say they got word a patient had arrived at Providence Hospital Northeast with a gunshot wound to the upper chest. The victim, however, refused to cooperate with deputies, officials say.
Deputies say they are not aware of any other injuries form the shooting at this time. Four vehicles, however, were damaged by the gunshots, according to officials.
