Columbia, SC (WLTX)- With the strength of Hurricane Matthew off the New England coast and a strong northerly air flow from a Canadian area of high pressure around Lake Erie, drier air has been pulled down into the Midlands. We started off with Monday morning temperatures in the upper 40s and lower 50s.
Just like Sunday, we will be enjoying clear blue skies, making our high temperatures in the middle 70s. But the clear skies and north easterly winds will cool us off again by Tuesday morning in the lower to middle 40s.
The cooler and drier weather conditions will stick around South Carolina for the next several days. Other than Wednesday morning low temperatures in the upper 40s, the rest of the week's low temperatures will go back up into the 50s. High temperatures will be in the middle to upper 70s and we'll continue with sunny to mostly sunny skies for the rest of the week.
