A deadly house fire claimed the life of 6-year-old Aiyanna Shaw in West Columbia Tuesday night.

On Wednesday afternoon, family members gathered comfort each other and mourn the loss of Aiyanna.

Shaw's great aunt, who lives behind the home, says she will miss her smile.

"She was just as sweet as she could be," says Emma Young. "Anytime she would see me, she would run up and say 'Hi Aunt Emmy.'"

The home is in an area known as the Kinsler Community. Throughout the day, family and friends stopped by to drop of flowers and balloons in honor of Shaw.

"We want everyone to keep us in prayer because we need it after going through this tragedy, with a six-year-old going on to glory," says Young. "We just want everyone to keep us in prayer."

The cause of the fatal fire is still being investigated by multiple agencies.

The American Red Cross is assisting the survivors.
