Summerville, SC (WLTX) - Finding gas in the evacuation zones in South Carolina is getting a little tougher.

News19 was at a station in Summerville around midday Wednesday where several pumps and stations had run out, and that's become a familiar site.

State leaders said overall, the gas supply in the state is good, but there may be pockets where people find no gas. The South Carolina Emergency Management Division is urging people to go to to check availability before they head out of town.

Keep in mind: gas prices are allowed to rise, evening during a state of emergency, but there are limits. If you suspect a place of price gouging, you can contact the attorney general's office by e-mailing; tweet photos or examples tagging @SCPriceGouging; or call 803-737-3953.
