Columbia, SC (WLTX) - It was your chance to be the conductor for the South Carolina Philharmonic at the State Fair Friday.
News 19 was there as people of all ages became an honorary orchestrator if only for one night.
"I was really excited, but a little nervous," Kayla Sturkie said.
One by one children, teens, and adults made their way to the podium, picked up the baton and commanded a performance.
"You can see the realization hit their face when they realize the orchestra is actually reacting to what they are doing," Executive Director Rhonda Hunsinger said."It's not just for kids. We have adults coming up (too)."
The group said they are already looking forward to next year's performance.
