Columbia, SC (WLTX) -A lot of you were out and about picking up last minute groceries for Thursday's big feast.
“It's been busy all day, ever since we opened the doors this morning,” Piggly Wiggly’s Jack Maddox explained. “They're buying turkeys. They're buying hams. They're buying a lot of greens.”
Jack Maddox said on a typical day they would see less than 1500 people but Wednesday they will see 3000 customers.“I figured it was going to be this way today since it's Thanksgiving,” Columbia resident George Adams said. “Turkeys for Thanksgiving and we're going to fry about four or five for the neighborhood.”
At Old Timey Meat Market on Rosewood, things aren't much different.
“A lot of people out and about picking up their turkey supplies, hams, just a great holiday season.” Chandra Williams with Old Timey Meat Market said.
