Kershaw County (WLTX)--A man lying in the bed of a pick-up truck was killed, another injured and a third charged with DUI, after a crash on Interstate 20.

It happened about 3:00 a.m. Friday morning, in the eastbound lanes, near mile marker 87.

26-year-old Bruce Clark, of North Carolina, is facing felony DUI charges, in connection with the wreck.

Trooper David Jones, a spokesman for the S.C. Highway Patrol, says Clark was driving a pickup truck that was stopped, with its lights off, on I-20. Jones says Clark's pickup had a passenger lying in the truck's bed. The pickup was hit from behind, by a Honda Accord and the impact of that crash caused the Accord to go into the lane of a tractor trailer.

Jones says the passenger, who had been lying in the bed of Clark's truck was killed, and the driver of the Honda Accord was transported to the hospital in serious condition, as a result of the crash. The name of the man who died has not been released.

Clark is being held at the Kershaw County Detention Center.
