Columbia, SC (WLTX) - More hot, humid, unsettled weather to continue today and for the rest of the workweek.

Sunday was hot and humid. High temperatures climbed into the lower 90s for highs. A few areas found some relief in the form of showers and storms Sunday afternoon.

The chance for showers and storms will continue through the workweek. Monday will be hot and humid, and there will be a chance for storms during the afternoon hours.

A cold front will approach late Monday night into Tuesday, it will become stationary across the area on Wednesday. The stalled front will remain in the area for the rest of the week. This will keep unsettled weather across the Midlands.

Scattered thunderstorms are expected on Tuesday through Friday with the front in the area. While there will be an elevated chance for rain each day, you may not see rain every day.

The thunderstorms will be scattered and mainly in the afternoon or evening. Locally heavy rains may occur and there could be some flooding with slower moving storms.

Little change in the weather is expected this week. The rain and clouds will help keep temperatures slightly lower to begin with than is typical for this time of year.
