Columbia, SC (WLTX) - The weekend started off mostly cloudy and mild, but Sunday was a little warmer with more sunshine.

Sunday was mostly sunny, high temperatures ranged from the middle 60s to near 70° across the Midlands.

More sunshine is expected Monday. High temperatures will be in the upper 60s to near 70 again. Highs on Tuesday will be in the lower 70s.

More clouds will move into the area Tuesday, this will be ahead of a cold front. The front will bring rain to the area very late Tuesday into early Wednesday. High temperatures will be in the lower 60s Wednesday.

It will be much cooler for the end of the workweek and into the weekend. High temperatures will be in the lower 50s Thursday. There will be a small chance for rain Thursday under mostly cloudy skies.

High temperatures Friday through Sunday may only climb into the upper 40s and lower 50s.

Low temperatures both Saturday and Sunday may fall into the upper 20s to lower 30s. This could be the coldest temperatures of the season so far.

Forecast models at the end of the workweek have indicated some moisture may move into the area. Right now, we will leave it partly cloudy with only a small chance of a shower Friday.

There is some uncertainty in the forecast Thursday through Saturday. The forecast will likely change as we get closer to the end of the week.
