Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- The American Red Cross is assisting multiple families following a fire at an apartment complex on Covenant Road Saturday night.
Red Cross officials said they are helping approximately 18 people with financial assistance for immediate needs, lodging and other essentials, and comfort kits containing personal hygiene items.
There is no word on what caused the fire at this time.
