A man killed in Sunday's shooting has been identified. Lexington Coroner Margaret Fisher says that Brian Jovon Rogers, 36 of Columbia was killed in a shooting in Lexington. Another man was injured
Lexington County deputies say they responded to an apartment complex on Berryhill Road Sunday night after receiving a call about someone being shot in the parking lot. Then, according to deputies, a second call came in a short time later about a second person who had been shot in the parking lot of an adjacent apartment complex.
Investigators say the first person reported as shot, a teenage black male, was treated for an non-life threatening injuries. The second person reported as shot, an adult black male, died on scene, according to officials.
Investigators say they have taken statements from possible witnesses and processed the scene where the deceased was found and plan to canvas both apartment complexes today in hopes of generating more leads.
