City of Columbia Raising Funds for Breast Cancer Charity

The City of Columbia has launched a fundraising effort to help a Breast Cancer charity.

Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- The City of Columbia's departments have started selling t-shirts to help raise funds for a Breast Cancer support charity.

Bosom Buddies is a 501(c)3 charity that works to promote breast cancer awareness, assists women who need mastectomy bras, or other post-surgery needs for breast cancer survivors.

Columbia's leaders, including Mayor Benjamin, CPD Chief Holbrook, Columbia Fire Chief Jenkins, and the rest of the City staff launched their sale of t-shirts.

City of Columbia Breast Cancer Awareness t-shirts can be purchased in person at the following locations:

  • City Hall, 1737 Main Street
  • Columbia Police Department Headquarters, 1 Justice Square
  • Columbia Fire Department Headquarters, 1800 Laurel Street
  • Washington Square, 1136 Washington Street

All orders are due by 5:00PM on Friday, September 12th.

All proceeds are donated to Bosom Buddies, and don't forget to join the Mayor's Annual Isabel Law Breast Cancer Awareness Breakfast on Friday, October 17, at Columbia's City Hall, and Palmetto Health's Walk for Life on Saturday, October 18 at Finlay Park.
