Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- Fall officially started Friday, but it will still feel like summer over the next several days.
Hurricane Maria will continue to move north, east of our coast. Some high clouds from Maria may move through our area, but no impacts are expected in the Midlands.
South Carolina beaches are under a high surf advisory until 8 PM Tuesday. Maria is expected to produced life-threatening rip currents.
Here in the Midlands, the workweek will be very warm and dry. High temperatures Monday and Tuesday will be in the upper 80s under partly cloudy skies.
The mostly sunny and dry weather is expected Wednesday and Thursday, high temperatures will be in the lower 90s.
A few clouds are possible Friday as a cold front approaches the area. Highs on Friday will be in the middle to upper 80s, but the weekend may feel more like fall.
High temperatures Saturday and Sunday may only be in the upper 70s and lower 80s.
