COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - A hearing has been scheduled in an ongoing probe of corruption within the South Carolina State House.

State Grand Jury Clerk Jim Parks tells The Associated Press a hearing is scheduled for 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Richland County Courthouse.

Parks didn't say specifically what the hearing is about, but a guilty plea could be possible. Last month, a judge ruled that a corruption and misconduct trial for state Rep. Rick Quinn would go forward in February.

So far, two lawmakers have resigned and pleaded guilty in the probe that began in 2014. Charges are pending against state Sen. John Courson and two other former lawmakers.

Quinn's father, a well-connected GOP political consultant, also faces charges of illegal lobbying and conspiracy.
