A search is underway for a 19-year-old Beaufort County man considered "missing and endangered" after his uncle was found shot to death, according to the Beaufort County Sheriff's Department.

Chaz Blanding, 19, was last seen by his family around 4 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21, when he left his Port Royal home, according to the deputies.

Blanding is described as standing 5'7" tall and weighing approximately 160 lbs. Deputies say he was last seen wearing a gray hoodie with black writing on the front, blue jeans and dark and light blue Nike shoes.

Chaz Blanding's uncle, 25-year-old Robert Blanding of St. Helena Island, was found shot to death late Wednesday along a road on Lady's Island, according to deputies. Investigators say Robert Blanding was last seen in the company of his nephew Chaz Blanding early Tuesday evening, as the two were seen leaving Chaz Blanding's home. Family members say they have not seen Chaz Blanding since, according to deputies.
