Horry County police are asking for the public's help to locate a missing woman and her 1-month-old son.

Alexandra Edmonds and her son were last seen Friday morning near the DSS building in Conway, where she was dropping off some paperwork, according to Horry County police. While there, Edmonds reportedly took a ride from an unknown person to take her to look for a possible job, police say.

Edmonds is described as a 23-year-old white woman with brown hair and blue eyes who stands 4'11" and weighs approximately 140 lbs. Her son is described as a white, 1-month-old boy with brown hair and blue eyes who weighs approximately 6 lbs.

According to a police report, Edmonds reportedly moved to Horry County to get away from a "bad situation" in Georgia with her child's father. While she does not have any friends or family in the area other than her roommate, Edmonds does have a history of drug use, the report says.

The infant has some sort of medical condition, which has required hospital treatment "multiple times" since birth, according to the report.
