Arrest made in Lexington County hit-and-run

Highway Patrol says an arrest has been made in connection with a hit-and-run in Lexington County.

Lance Cpl David Jones says investigators were able to locate the car that hit a pedestrian on Platt Springs Rd on Monday, April 15.

The woman hit in the crash remains in the hospital with serious injuries. She is expected to recover, according to troopers.

Investigators say the crashed happened around 5 a.m. Monday morning when a woman walking along Platt Springs Road near McCatha Road was struck by a vehicle, according to Lance Cpl. David Jones with S.C. Highway Patrol. The driver of that car then drove away.

Investigators have not released the name of the person charged in the hit-and-run. We are working to bring you that information.
