Authorities confirmed Tuesday morning that a third student incurred minor injuries last Wednesday in the Townville Elementary School shooting.

The student's injuries were minor and did not require medical treatment, according to a statement from the Anderson County Sheriff's Office.

"He was there, in amongst the ones that got hit," Anderson County Sheriff John Skipper said Tuesday.

Previously, officials said two students and a teacher were injured in the shooting. The 10th Judicial Circuit announced Monday night that there was an additional student who had been injured, and that an attempted murder charged had been filed in connection with the incident.

Six-year-old Jacob Hall, a student at the school, as well as the father of the suspect were killed last Wednesday. The 14-year-old suspect is facing two murder charges for those killings.
