Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Hundreds of thousands of dollars in child support payments as well as check numbers, direct deposit numbers, federal tax credits, addresses and more information will need to be manually reposted in Fairfield County.
The county said in a press release Saturday that family court records for February and March 2018 were lost in a multi-system failure. There is little information right now, but the county said this was not caused by a computer hack and it is not the fault of the Clerk of Court or her staff.
We're told the issue will take weeks to resolve.
