HOUSTON – A growing flower memorial honoring former First Lady Barbara Bush has been moved from the front of the entrance to their neighborhood to a new location.

The memorial began growing in front the gates in her west Houston neighborhood Wednesday morning. It has now been moved to the Barbara Bush Literacy Plaza in downtown Houston.

Several people dropped off flower bouquets in honor of the first lady. Some even left personalized notes.

Mrs. Bush and her husband, former President George H.W. Bush moved to the neighborhood years ago when they first came to Houston.

And this is the area is where she spent her final resting days in her home, choosing comfort care before passing away Tuesday evening at the age of 92.

Even the entrance gates have been decorated in flower wreaths in her honor.

With all the tributes pouring in from around the world and here in Houston, you can truly see just how beloved she was and still is.

The memorial was moved by the neighborhood management because they said they just do not have enough room for it at the entrance especially if it continue to grow.
