Earl Kimrey appeared in court Monday morning for the first time since being charged in connection with the death of 3-year-old Mariah Woods.

The appearance at an Onslow County courtroom lasted less than three minutes and the 32-year-old Kimrey said very little.

The Judge explained Kimrey's charges and his rights. Kimrey's charges include:

  • Concealing of Death
  • Obstruction of Justice,
  • 2nd Degree Burglary
  • Felony Larceny
  • And Possession of Stolen Property

Arrest Warrants Related to Death, Disappearance of Mariah Woods

Kimrey's bond remains at $1,010,000. Kimrey had no questions for the judge. His next court date is scheduled for Dec. 18.

Woods' body was believed to be found on Saturday in a creek in Pender County.
