I-26 West reopened shortly before 1 a.m. Monday morning, following a fatal accident Sunday evening, according to S.C. Highway Patrol.
Just before 10 p.m. Sunday evening, the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) said all lanes all lanes were blocked on Interstate 26 West just south of Columbia.
SCDOT said all lanes were blocked near the 119 mile marker, near the exit for St. Matthews and Dixiana.
Traffic was detoured via exit 119 for approximately three hours while Highway Patrol investigated and the accident was cleared.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol posted on their website that the crash was fatal.
