A'ja Wilson Named President's Award Winner at Gamecock Gala

The most decorated athlete in the history of USC women's basketball was named the winner of the President's Award and also the athletic program's Female Athlete of the Year.

As the list of team MVP's was announced at the Gamecock Gala, A'ja Wilson made her way to the stage in what was the first of three trips.

Wilson was named the Female Athlete of the Year before taking home the highest award of the night - the President's Award.

The program's all-time leading scorer, the Heathwood Hall graduate holds eight other career school records and has her name atop the standings in a total of 62 categories in the program record book.

The unanimous national player of the year and first pick in this month's WNBA Draft by the Las Vegas Aces, she led USC to a 129-16 record in her four seasons, three SEC regular-season championships, four SEC Tournament titles and the 2017 national championship.
