Cartersville QB Trevor Lawrence has been named the by USA Today High School Sports as the American Family Insurance ALL-USA Offensive Player of the Year.
Lawrence threw for 3,296 yards and 41 touchdown passes this season, with one interception. He broke Deshaun Watson’s records in the state of Georgia with 14,352 career passing yards and 161 career touchdowns passes. His record was 41-1 his last three years at Cartersville.
Wednesday will mark the first day of the new early signing period. Lawrence, a longtime Clemson commit, is scheduled to sign with the Tigers in the morning.
