Clemson Finishes 15th In Final Poll For The 2017-2018 Season

A Sweet 16 appearance for Clemson has the Tigers ranked in the top 15 of the final college basketball poll this season. The final ranking was released the day after Villanova captured the national championship.

One season after a disappointing loss at home to Oakland in the NIT, Clemson enjoyed a major resurgence on the court.

The Tigers made it to the Sweet 16 for the first time since the 1996-97 and as a result, posted their best top 25 ranking since that Rick Barnes-led squad finished eighth in the final poll.

In the final USA Today Coaches Top 25, the Tigers were 15th, the first final top 25 showing since the 2008-2009 team ended that season ranked 24th.

The success of both the football and basketball teams allowed the Tigers to record some notable accomplishments. This marked the first time since the 1989-90 season that the Clemson football and basketball teams both finished in the top 20 of the final polls. Also, Clemson is the only school this season that had both programs finish in the top 15.
