Jaron Blossomgame's NBA journey has begun.
The former Clemson forward was taken. with the 59th overall pick by the San Antonio Spurs in the 2017 NBA Draft on Thursday.
The Alpharetta, Georgia native tested the NBA Draft waters in 2016 only to return to Clemson for his senior season where for the third straight year, he led the Tigers in scoring - the first player in two decades to accomplish that feat. He joined Trevor Booker and Elden Campbell.as the only players in Clemson history to rack up 1,700 points and 800 rebounds.
There are some concerns about Blossomgame's ability on the perimeter. He was lights out as a junior, hitting for 44.1 percent from 3-point range. But his senior season saw that averaged dip to 25.5 percent.
But his ability to defend multiple positions should allow him some leeway as he works to regain his shooting touch.
