Now, Jackie Hayes can add another accomplishment to his legendary resume.
Hayes was named the 2018 Shrine Bowl head coach for the South Carolina team, the official announcement coming Saturday during the 81st Shrine Bowl at Wofford College's Gibbs Stadium. He is no stranger to the Shrine Bowl stage - he has been a manager, a player and an assistant coach in this annual battle between the Carolinas. Now he will add Shrine Bowl head coach to his list of accomplishments which also includes a stint as a head coach in the annual North-South All-Star Game in Myrtle Beach.
Hayes just wrapped up his 26th season at his alma mater with a perfect 15-0 record and his seventh state championship. All of those titles have come since 2008.
