Columbia, SC (WLTX) - If you were worried the Gamecock's basketball game would run past your bedtime, Dawn Staley has you covered.

The team faces the Virginia Cavaliers in the second round of the women's NCAA Tournament Sunday, but the game doesn't start until 9 p.m.

Staley understands the struggle of Monday morning as is, so she's providing an option for fans who are up to the challenge — an excuse slip. The slip cites "exhaustion due to screaming and jumping while cheering" for your possible tardiness, or unexpected cat nap at your desk.

Although this "critical condition of Gamecock exhaustion" will only last 24 hours, she pleads with employers and teachers to go easy on those loyal fans. Also, its signed by both Staley and the Gamecock's Chief Coach Ray Tanner — so it must be official!

It's also evident that Staley is an advocate of comfort, asking fans to show up to Sunday's game in their sleepover best!
