Tom Knotts looks to hit double figures this Saturday.

After winning seven state titles in the state of North Carolina, Knotts has won a pair of titles at Dutch Fork including last year.

As he looks ahead to this week's matchup with Dorman admits the road had one major speed bump during the season.

In the second game of the season, Dutch Fork lost at home to Fort Dorchester 41-25, which snapped the Silver Foxes' winning streak at 16. It was a stunning defeat for a team who had visions of back-to-back undefeated seasons.

"We fully expected to go undefeated, that was our goal," Knotts said.

"We even talked about starting a winning streak here at Dutch Fork. It shook us. It shook us to the core when we lost. We had to question a lot of things. Our quarterback play wasn't very good. We had some real issues and we had to refocus and get back to work and get better and we did. We gradually. every week, got a bit better and hopefully, we're peaking right now."

Dutch Fork has won 12 in a row since that loss. Dorman started off the year 0-2 with losses to Fort Dorchester and Northwestern. But they have won 12 straight as well heading into Saturday's high noon showdown at Williams-Brice Stadium.
