USC's Sindarius Thornwell, the reigning SEC player of the year, signed his first NBA contract with the LA Clippers on Wednesday night. The franchise made the announcement on Twitter. T

Thornwell proved that he belonged with a great performance during the summer league. In his summer league debut he scored 26 points leading the Clippers to an overtime win. He finished second in scoring for LA after appearing in four games during the tournament in Las Vegas.

Now that he's on the roster Thornwell will need to earn minutes. Training camp for the Clippers will be this fall at the University of Hawaii.
