Saturday former USC wide receiver Alshon Jeffrey returned to South Carolina to pay it forward during his youth football camp in his native Calhoun County.
The Philadelphia Eagle is excited for the season ahead and sees a lot of potential for greatness with his new team. But he also feels the same away about his Gamecocks.
"I think Coach Muschamp is doing an unbelievable job, he's doing some great things and I'm excited for this season. I think the sky's the limit for those guys," Jeffery said.
With a talented wide receiving unit for Jake Bentley I had to ask does anybody playing now remind Alshon of Alshon when he was at USC?
"I'm pretty sure we got some guys on our team that go up and get the ball but those guys are them and I'm myself," Jeffery said. "I'm pretty sure we got some receivers like Bryan Edwards. He can go up and get the ball pretty well. I like the way he goes up and catches the ball. I like Deebo Samuel. Deebo makes some plays, Hayden Hurst, the tight end, he makes some plays and KC Crosby. I'm looking forward to what he's got this year."
Eagles training camp starts this Monday July 24 while the Gamecocks will report on July 30.
