COLUMBIA, S.C. — A former Shrine Bowler and Blacksburg High School product has decided to come one and play for South Carolina.
Defensive back Elijah Rodgers announced via his Twitter account that he has transferred to USC.
Elijah was a three-star prospect coming out of high school and signed a letter of intent to play for Indiana. He chose the Hoosiers over Georgia Tech, ECU, Colorado State and the Citadel.
After one year at Indiana he transferred to Gardner-Webb, enrolling in April of this year but now he's tabbed to walk-on to the Gamecocks.
Elijah was a playmaker at Blacksburg generated three interception and two fumble recoveries to go along with four forced fumbles and 29 tackles. He now joins and loaded USC secondary with tons of talent and potential.
