The newest member of Dawn Staley's coaching staff returns to her home state, and she's ready to make an impact.

Jolette Law joins the South Carolina program after five seasons as an assistant from Tennessee. She hails from Florence, South Carolina. Before Tennessee she was the head coach for Illinois for five years.

She replaces Nikki McCray-Penson who is now the head coach at ODU. It seems that Law is more than capable of filling the void left by McCray-Penson and this coaching staff won't miss a beat.

"I've been in this business for 23 years. I'm known as a recruiter, known as a defensive mind and I just bring a lot of enthusiasm and passion," Law said.

Staley has been pleased with Law's transition onto her staff.

"Jolette is like family. She's already like family. She's come in and has fit in seamlessly with what you're doing."

"Everything that I have that's in my head I want to help challenge Dawn so that we can continue to cut down nets," Law added.

Law will get to know her new team and coaching staff very well as USC leaves for Japan Tuesday for a three exhibition games against the Japan's national team.
