One of the best players to dawn a Gamecock jersey returned to his hometown today to pay it forward. But Alshon Jeffery's camp may have been positive reinforcement for the Philadelphia Eagle wideout.

The Former Gamecock and Chicago Bear receiver, Jeffery, y was back in Calhoun County at Saint Matthews High School for his first youth football camp.

Over 500 kids came out for the event. Alshon said this was a full circle moment for him given that he used to play 7 on 7 on high school football on the same fields today's campers were doing drills on.

With the support of his hometown and a successful offseason of workouts, he's ready to soar into this season as the go to target for Carson Wentz and the Philadelphia Eagles.

"Sky's the limit and Carson (Wentz). Sky's the limit for our team.We just got to keep working and getting better each and every day. I'm excited for our team overall like the offense, defense and special teams everything. I think we're going to do something special this year. I think we're going to do some unbelievable things this year," Jeffery said.

It's safe to say Alshon is really enjoying the change of scenery in Philly so far and sees tons of potential in his new team as they compete in a rough NFC East.

"Carson Wentz, we're going to put the ball in his hands let him make plays and have fun with it. It's our job to catch the ball and have fun with it. Like i said the sky's the limit we just have to go out there and put the work in."

Eagles training camp starts this Monday July 24.
