It's not the easiest role to play when you are the starting quarterback.

Throw in the fact that your father is the head coach and you open yourself up to more scrutiny. But Brett Burnett has been able to thrive in the Eagle offense.

Last season, his year ended early due to a torn ACL. But he came back faster and his senior year has seen Burnett tie the school record for most touchdown passes in a season. He can break it Friday night when the Eagles play at South Pointe in the second round of the Class 4A playoffs. He was recently added to the Touchstone Energy Cooperatives North-South All-Star roster.

Burnett isn't set on a college but he does want to major in architecture.
