Jasaun Grainger was not lobbying for the quarterback job, in fact, he didn't think that was his best position.

But he trusted that head coach Tommy Brown knew best and four years ago, began working to become the best quarterback he can be.

Now as a senior, Grainger is having his best season yet for the Bruins. But excelling as the signal-caller is just part of who Jasaun is.

He is one of the top students at Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School with a 3.7 grade point average and he walks the halls of his school without an ounce of arrogance.

Brown says Grainger is not the type of seeks attention and will simply go about his business quietly but effectively.

That's the same attitude Grainger will take with him to college. He doesn't know where he will attend but he plans on majoring in marketing.
