For the first time in his two seasons at USC, head coach Will Muschamp is about to oversee a major shakeup on his staff.

As first reported by USA Today's Dan Wolken, Roper is not expected to be retained and an announcement could come as early as Wednesday along with any other staff changes.

Roper has been Muschamp's coordinator for three seasons. He was on the Florida staff for Muschamp's final season in 2014 before reuniting with Muschamp in Columbia just after the 2015 campaign.

The USC offense was last in scoring in the SEC for the 2016 season at 20.8 points per game. As things stand right now, USC is 12th in the SEC in scoring at 24.1 points per game. While that was an improvement statistically, it was nowhere close to meeting the preseason expectations as it was believed the offense would be lighting up the scoreboard, while the defense was expected to struggle. For the most part, the opposite was true and now, Muschamp will hand the keys to the offense to someone else.
