While the majority of the state has postponed high school football for this week, there are games which will be taking place tonight.

North Central will travel to Cheraw for a 7:00 pm contest while Newberry will also be on the road for a contest against Broome with that game kicking off at 7:30 p.m.

Mid-Carolina will make the short drive to Clinton to face the Red Devils at 7:30 p.m.

Schools in the Midlands, Pee Dee and the Lowcountry will take advantage of the SCHSL extending the season by a week for those teams who could not play due to the expected impact of Hurricane Matthew.

Upstate teams will be able to use that extended week as a bye week to get ready for the playoffs.

In the SCISA ranks, Hammond's game at Porter Gaud has been cancelled, while Richard Winn Academy will host Curtis Baptist at 6:30 pm tonight

Also in the independent ranks, three Monday games are scheduled. Ben Lippen hosts Orangeburg Prep and Heathwood Hall travels to Cardinal Newman. Those games are scheduled for 6;30 p.m. Wilson Hall is tentatively scheduled to host Pinewood Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
