Madison Stokes drove in three runs to go with a 2-RBI night each from Jonah Bride and Matt Wiliams as USC defeated North Carolina A&T 12-2 Wednesday at Founders Park in an SEC-MEAC battle.

Stokes, the A.C. Flora grad, tied his career high with 3 RBI. His two-run single in the sixth was part of three runs in that inning which was followed by a six-run seventh inning. Those two innings allowed Carolina to break the game open.

Freshman T.J. Shook from Dutch Fork High School earned his first career win as he threw 2.1 innings of relief work.

The Gamecocks (8-5) will host Princeton this weekend for a three-game series - Friday at 7:00 p.m., Saturday at 4:00 p.m. and Sunday at 1:30 p.m.
