Zion Williamson Leads South Carolina In USA Today ALL-USA Selections

COLUMBIA, SC — He was a must see attraction in high school hoops this year and before going to Duke Zion Wiliamson receives a national honor.

Today Zion was named to the USA Today All-American Farmers Insurance All-USA First Team. He earned Player of the Year honors for the All-USA South Carolina team. It's the second time he's won that player of the year award as well.

Zion led Spartanburg Day Academy to the 2A SCISA title in his final season. He averaged almost 37 points per game and is also a McDonald's All-American.

Joining Zion on the USA Today All-USA South Carolina first team is 2A Player of the of the year Juwan Gary of Gray Collegiate Academy War Eagles. Gary led the War Eagles to the 2A Championship this season.

Vanderbilt bound Aaron Nesmith of SCISA Champion Porter-Gaud is another first team pick.

Ridge View 4A state champion Malcolm Wilson, Robert Braswell out of Blythewood and Porter Gaud's Josiah James were All-USA South Carolina second team picks.

Dorman High School won the 5A state title this year and their head coach Thomas Ryan was named All-USA South Carolina Coach Of The Year.
